Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Laura ("we") is a private clipping tool operated by its owner for the owner's own social media accounts. This policy explains what data Laura handles when the owner connects an account such as YouTube or Instagram.
Data we access
- Account connection: when the owner connects a YouTube channel or Instagram account, the platform gives Laura an access token for that account. Laura uses it only to upload the owner's clips to that account and to read the owner's own post statistics.
- Channel and post information: the account's name and ID, and the views, likes, comments and shares of posts Laura published.
- Public stream content: public live streams of creators whose clipping programs allow it, used only to make clips.
Laura does not collect data about viewers of the owner's posts, does not read private messages, and does not sell, rent or share any data with anyone.
YouTube API Services
Laura uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to the owner's channel and read their statistics. By connecting a YouTube account you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube data is handled under the Google Privacy Policy.
Storage and security
All data stays on the owner's own computer. Access tokens are stored encrypted and are never shown in the app, written to logs or sent anywhere except to the platform they belong to.
Keeping and deleting data
Statistics are kept while the account stays connected. Disconnecting an account in Laura deletes its stored tokens. You can also revoke Laura's access at any time on the Google security settings page or in Instagram's settings ("Apps and websites"). To ask for any data to be deleted, email [email protected]; we act on requests within 7 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
